Surprising restriction for New Zealand
NZD 10,000 or more (or foreign currency equivalent) must be declared using a Border Cash Report (NZCS Form 337 or online within 72 hours of trip). Includes: physical currency, traveller's cheques, cheques, money orders, postal orders, bearer bonds, bills of exchange, promissory notes and AML/CFT-prescribed instruments. Failure to declare or avoiding the report is a criminal offence — fines, imprisonment or seizure of cash.
